Hi! I’m so glad you’re here and that you found me! ❤️

The first thing I want to share is that I am a daughter of God. The second thing I want to share, is my joy of being His daughter! I want to share that undefinable joy by sharing my humble journey. The ups and downs, twisters and hurricanes, heartbreaks and healing. The whole 12 yards. Through all the sorrow there has been joy and comfort at the very center.

There is a comfort in knowing that I am His that no shopping mall, or gorgeous pair of shoes, can fulfill. This comfort and peace is unshakeable because it is rooted in God’s unfailing love. Though the world and the enemy often attempt to steal that joy and comfort, their schemes fail.

King David understands all too well the schemes of those who mean harm. He was hunted down by Saul for years. Even one of his own sons sought to kill him. In Psalm 3:3-4, he calls out to God “But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and He answers me from His holy mountain” (NIV). What comfort to know all I have to do is call out to Him, even if all I can manage is a whisper.

It is because of His unfailing love, His hesed, that He will come running to my call. Just as any father would answer the call of his daughter when she is in distress. How the enemy wants us women so badly to be distressed and anxious and to feel like we’re failing. Some days, all I can do is cling to that love my Father has for me.
